Licensing and open source

• What does it mean Rancho is Open Source, will my messages, files and other content be able to be seen by others?
  • NO! It's the opposite, by being Open Source Software, Rancho is safer in the way that it will have more people looking at its implementation and pointing out any possible flaw that may appear.
• Since it is Free Software, can I use it in my company without paying anyone for its source code?
  • Yes, you can use Rancho for free but only if a link to "Appropriate Legal Notices" is kept visible on it. Rancho is published under the GNU AGPL v3 which means you have permission to copy, distribute and/or modify the software under the terms of the license.

• What does Rancho mean?
  • The creators of Rancho are Portuguese and in Portugal Rancho means a group of people in a journey and it is also a Portuguese traditional music and dance style.
    This name was given because this software deals with groups of people where everyone is aiming for a common goal and happily accomplishing their taks.
• Since it is Free Software, can I use it in my company without paying anyone for its source code?
